Trojans add two signees in early period
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Little Rock men's basketball team added two standouts during the early signing period. Bryant High School three-star combo guard Kellen Robinson and Gulf State (Fla.) College's Truman Clayton IV signed with the Trojans in the past week.
Kellen Robinson - Bryant High School, 6-3-185, CG
Robinson, a Little Rock native, began his prep career in his hometown at Episcopal Collegiate School. He transferred to nearby Bryant last season. He's taken the same path as his older brother, K.K., a senior standout guard for the Trojans who is out indefinitely with an injury. K.K. also played for Episcopal and BHS.
247 Sports ranks Kellen as the No. 32 combo guard in the nation and the No. 3 recruit in Arkansas in the 2025 class. Kellen had offers from Auburn, Arkansas State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Central Arkansas among others. Kellen is a three-time all-state selection and helped the Hornets to the 6A-Central Conference title last winter and a runner-up finish in the Class 6A state tournament.
"Kellen comes from a good bloodline," Little Rock head coach Darrell Walker said. "All of his brothers are exceptional basketball players. We were happy to be able to sign him early. He wanted to be a Little Rock Trojan, and we are glad to have him."
Truman Claytor IV, Gulf Coast State College, 6-6. 215, F
Claytor IV, a Toledo, Ohio native, prepped at Word of God Christian Academy in Raleigh, N.C. and played his first season of junior college at Cape Fear (N.C.). He averaged 13.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game for the Sea Devils.
He's already making a splash this season at GCSC as he is averaging 13 ppg and hit the game-winning three-pointer against Albany (Ga) Tech last week.
"Truman brings us some shot making, some size and some athletic ability," Trojans head coach Darrell Walker said. "He can really shoot the basketball and is playing at a good level in junior college."
Claytor, who owns a 6-foot-10-inch wingspan, is the grandson of Truman Caytor II, a University of Kentucky star who was drafted by the Detroit Pistons and later became a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association Officials Hall of Fame.
